How Our SMS Messaging Works

Captomi LLC operates an AI-powered virtual receptionist for small trade and service businesses (for example, painting contractors). When a consumer contacts one of these businesses, our assistant replies by SMS on the business's behalf to answer questions, qualify the request, and help schedule appointments or estimates. This page explains how consumers opt in to that messaging. Messaging is two-way and consumer-initiated. We use no purchased or third-party lists and send no unsolicited marketing.

How You Opt In

  1. You text the business. You send a text message to the business's phone number.
  2. You confirm (reply YES). Before the assistant continues, you receive a one-time message that identifies the business, says it is an automated assistant, and asks you to reply YES to confirm. The assistant does not continue the conversation until you reply YES.

We never message anyone who has not first texted the business, and we do not continue without your YES confirmation. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

What the Opt-In Looks Like

You start the conversation. The assistant's first reply identifies itself, carries the standard messaging disclosures and opt-out instructions, and asks you to reply YES to confirm. Only after you reply YES does the assistant continue and help with your request.

Screenshot of a text-message conversation: the consumer texts a painting business 'Hi, do you do exterior painting? Can I get a quote?' and receives a one-time automated reply that identifies itself as the automated assistant for A Painting (powered by Captomi) and asks the consumer to reply YES to confirm, carrying the AI disclosure, message frequency (about 2 to 10 per week during scheduling), 'message and data rates may apply', HELP and STOP instructions, and links to the Terms and Privacy Policy; the consumer replies YES, and the assistant then continues to help.
